Full Description

Xero’s small business accounting software system was developed out of New Zealand. It has many standard, well-working features that appeal to small business owners who want to have less troubles with their software. Founded in 2006, they have grown to encompass business in three other English speaking countries as well as being used in Europe. They opened offices in Australia in 2011 and two more in 2012, namely, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Creating an accounting software system that has very few “bug” issues has been genius on their part. The flaws tend to be on the minor side and cause the user some aggravation, but nothing that can’t be gotten around, until they are fixed.

Experts in the accounting software field and users both like the easy way transactions are entered and stored. The reports are simple to read and don’t need an accountant to translate its financial data. The only version available is online, so if you’re looking for a more traditional version you will be out of luck with Xero’s accounting software.

Many of their customers would encourage you to take the risk and go online using Xero’s small business accounting software program. They are glad they did.

The Xero accounting software reviews from experts rated this system with a 6.5 in popularity. They found the automatic banking and credit card transactions to be a strong feature in this program, heightening its draw of customers. Handling such options as expense claims and accounts payable with relatively comfortable data entry, they pointed out the time-saving feature of such well-developed preferences.

Along with their mother-country base of New Zealand, they also serve three other English speaking countries and offer multiple currency choices. The tax rate varieties selection makes tax preparation in those regions easier to master.

The most unusual alternative in the Xero business accounting software must be the fixed asset depreciation report. The core of the financial data is held in a single unified ledger serving as the main base for all the accounting reports it can supply.

No need for complicated and convoluted reporting to be done on-site. Xero simplifies your accounting needs.

Our consumer reviews of Xero business accounting software gave it our highest score of 9.9. The review sources mentioned the large number of time-saving features offered in this one system. Beginning with the ability to use their mobile apps anytime and anywhere, the software can be used on any pc, mac, laptop, tablet or smartphone. Customers treasured the easy invoices that Xero produces and that they can pay bills to vendors and the like in quick, easy steps.

In reviewing the Xero accounting software, consumers liked to view their standard business and management reports from any location for maximum communication among employees. Just as important to the consumers was that purchase orders can be created and sent online, giving their vendors faster access to fill those orders, thus in turn, faster delivery.

Easy-to-do payroll always excites business accounting software users when this hated task is simplified and executed. Xero accounting software hits it “out of the park” with its customers.

The Xero business accounting software rating reviews by consumers spoke of many of the selections within the program. The cloud based software gives the consumers an economical choice to stay in their budget for business expenses. The basic accounting tasks it performs can be done on their mobile apps that are compatible with iOS or android phones. The Xero accounting software program is designed for small to medium businesses and works well in all its functions.

For such a small monthly fee, it fares well to proffer an unlimited number of users in a business, all of them being able to use at the same time. The same can be said for the ability to have an unlimited number of clients.

This growth feature makes Xero accounting software exceptional to its customers. Finally, but certainly not a small option, is the snail mail invoicing that can be used for customers who do not do business online, giving Xero users the best of both worlds.

Consumer Complaints
Consumer Complaints
(0.3 of 10)

Consumer complaints seemed pretty rare for this company that offers 24/7/365 support. The catch is that the Xero has no phone to call in inquiries. All support questions must be emailed directly to them. They then decide whether your problem can fixed and explained in an email, or if they need to call you back! This can be off-putting at first to clients who want immediate answers by a “real person”.

Though their “bug” situation is minimal, it seems to take months for them to rectify the situation. Other minor grievances include possible double entries in the banking feature of Xero’s software, and the lack of time tracking for contractors and others. With such a wide variety of features that Xero accounting software offers, it’s sad to see that some automated options are missing – namely overdue notices, invoice reminders and receipts of payment. Hopefully they can all be corrected shortly.

Overall (7.3/10)

This smaller and lesser world known business accounting software from Xero is making its mark in the accounting business. Not fussy or arduous, it can be used by non-accountants to make them feel as if they know what they are doing. Organized financial data and a good customer support department help Xero to be a top competitor against giants such as QuickBooks and FreshBooks.
