Full Description

For seniors who need a medical alert system that goes with them when they leave the house, Mobile Help’s GPS powered, cellular based system is one of the first of its kind. Since better known companies have promptly followed suit and offered their own premium services that match Mobile Help’s, the company has not created the large customer base they had hoped for.

As one of the first to offer mobile medical alert capabilities and with their focus solely on this type of service, Mobile Help does its job well, but they do not offer common add-ons, such as smoke and carbon monoxide detection or speaker pendants.

Because of Mobile Help’s limited equipment options, they do not rank as well with experts compared to larger, established medical alert companies. If you are looking specifically for the type of cellular based service that Mobile Help offers, you may disagree.

Experts do note in Mobile Help’s favor that the system is easy to use, an inexpensive mobile option, and provides satisfactory customer service. In fact, one of the areas that Mobile Help scores well in is providing customer refunds upon cancellation of service, an area that many medical alert system providers struggle with.

Consumer Complaints
Consumer Complaints
(8.7 of 10)

Mobile Help seems to be a medical alert system that you either fall in love with or cannot use at all. The vast majority of the consumer complaints with the Better Business Bureau were centered on problems with service. Since Mobile Help is cellular based, it in inoperable in areas without cellular service. This can be a problem in many rural areas, but also in cities where cell tower signals can be blocked by large buildings, bridges, and other structures.

Two other complaints regarded billing. In both cases, the consumers stated that Mobile Help sent their account to collection agencies without ever billing them.
